The Mahabodhi temple complex is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most significant Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world, located in Bodh Gaya Ji, Bihar, India.

The Mahabodhi temple is 52 meters tall with a distinctive pyramidal shape. It houses a statue of the Buddha along with smaller statues and relics. The Vajrasana (diamond throne) marks where the Buddha meditated after attaining enlightenment.

The best time to visit is during winter (November–February). Weather is pleasant with temperatures from 5°C to 20°C. The Buddha Purnima festival in May is the most celebrated event at the temple.

The nearest airport is Gaya Ji Airport, about 17 km away. Gaya Ji Junction railway station is 13 km from the temple — a 30-minute drive. Regular bus services are also available from all major Bihar cities.
